“Alison spends her days in her room.”

Leer en Español

My name is Sara, I am “Alison's Mom”, as everyone calls me. As a mother, it breaks my heart to see how my daughter suffers every day and gets sicker. I want to stop her suffering and change how things are. Her future can change and we need your help.

Alison was always energetic since she was a baby; cheerful and tireless. She loved to play, share and be free. It was during her teen years that a virus changed everything. Her days as a flute player and judoka were put on hold indefinitely. Alison was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) and two years ago she was diagnosed with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS).

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis is a complex neuroimmune disease that affects all body systems. Whereas Multiple Chemical Sensitivity means super sensitivity to chemicals and toxins, as your body is continually storing toxins. This diagnosis has progressed and is currently in the severe stage. On the other hand, her immune system is severely compromised. Her illness worsened after Hurricane María due to the prolonged exposure to electric generators used by neighbors, and the environmental pollution at that time.

“This is an urgent campaign for Alison.”

You may not notice it at first glance…

but these diseases affect her body functions. Every day Alison is affected by pollutants, environmental factors, and other aggravating factors around her home and surroundings, such as: car fumes, pesticides, paint, gases, electric generators, trimmers, gas stations, pressure washers, among others. This daily exposure deteriorates her health and causes strong symptoms of nausea, dizziness, tachycardia, pain throughout the body, intolerances to light, noise, touch, taste and flavor, etc. The most dangerous of these diseases are autonomic dysfunctions, with cognitive/motor loss, and often losing the sense of reality.

If we don't act now, Alison will keep getting worse.

#AllForAlison

As a mother, I fight to the end to give her my best and take care of her… all for Alison. I cannot allow her to continue spending her youth forgotten in her room. I want her to have the opportunity to pursue her dreams, goals, future, laughter, and youth; experiences that she will never forget. As her mother and caregiver, I know that with your help we will make Alison recover and live a better life.

Our goal is to raise funds to give Alison the opportunity to live in peace and enjoy her youth safely. We cannot leave Alison alone in this knowing that there are solutions and we can help her. There is hope for Alison.

Please do not forget to share this with all your family and friends, using the hashtags #AllForAlison, #TodoPorAlison and #AlisonsDream. We want the message to go far so that everyone knows Alison's story to achieve our goal.

I will always be very grateful.
